Work Conference
Richard J. Watters — Sat, 10/17/2009 - 10:54pm

Last week, I spent a couple days in Charlotte, NC to attend a conference and product show for work. It was well worth the trip - I learned about new products and received tips that might come in handy for future designs.
Thanksgiving 2008
Richard J. Watters — Sun, 12/21/2008 - 4:35pm
Yesenia and I drove to Austin for Thanksgiving for the third annual celebration with Wayne and Peter. Mom and Lorain also flew in along with Peter's parents. We really had a great time and enjoyed the awesome food. Can't wait till next year!
You can find our pictures in our photo album. If you have pictures you would like to add, email me and I will move the album to a place where we can all upload pictures.
Uploaded Some Pictures
Richard J. Watters — Sun, 12/21/2008 - 4:29pm
After a pretty long absence, I have begun to upload some pictures and be a little more active on this site.
Yesenia and I recently (on Thanksgiving weekend) went to a wedding of one of her coworkers. I have posted a few of the pictures in our photo album here. You will also find some pictures of us with friends out to dinner, at my company Christmas Party, and at the Dallas Symphony from this weekend. We had a blast!
Late Honeymoon
Richard J. Watters — Mon, 07/21/2008 - 9:31pm
Last week, Yesenia and I took a rather late Honeymoon. Actually, I think it was perfectly placed, because after we got married, we focused on getting our house first. Now that we have accomplished that, we are accomplishing other goals.
First up, our Honeymoon. We went to Naples, Florida and spent four days playing in the Gulf of Mexico and across the southwest corner of Florida. It was really a beautiful area.
Check out our photos in the gallery.
ASHRAE CRC Conference
Richard J. Watters — Fri, 04/25/2008 - 2:23pm
Wednesday, I drove to Shreveport, LA to attend my regional ASHRAE Conference. The drive was great and looked more like the northern US than Texas.
I started in the local Fort Worth Chapter as the Chairman of the Programs Committee, and next year I will serve as Treasurer. So, this is my first year to be more active.
Yesterday was the welcome party at the Mardi Gras museum, today is the technical session, which will be followed by dinner (and craps) tonight.
Vegas Pictures
Richard J. Watters — Mon, 04/14/2008 - 12:10pm
I am back from Vegas, and I was a victim of the hundreds of flight cancellations that American Airlines issued. I was forced to stay in Vegas for one more night. It was torture... I uploaded a few pictures of my time there, and despite the fact that you won't see any pictures that look like engineers or a conference of some sort - I was really working! Honest...
The pictures are here. I will go back to the album when I have a chance and try to label the pictures.
It's Vegas, Baby!
Richard J. Watters — Fri, 04/11/2008 - 3:52pm
I am attending the last day of seminars at the 10th Global Engineering Conference. The theme of the conference is designing and building for sustainability, with the goals of reducing environmental impact through reducing the consumption of non-renewable natural resources and by minimizing waste, and creating healthy, productive environments.
Quick update

Just a quick update for everyone. I added a really great spot to the end of Dad's dedication page. Check it out.
Newest Citizen
Richard J. Watters — Sun, 02/03/2008 - 10:52pm
It's official! We now have another US Citizen. Last Tuesday Yesenia took her oath of Citizenship to complete the last step in becoming a naturalized US Citizen. We spent the afternoon at the Arlington Convention Center. After the acknowledgment of the candidates, everyone took the Oath. Then, there was a greeting from the President and a great keynote speaker.
To celebrate, we had and earlier dinner at Bravo. I would highly recommend it then next time you are in the Arlington area.
