Salt water fuel

Richard J. Watters — Mon, 04/07/2008 - 3:21pm

The next big thing - using salt water as a fuel. This is an amazing video of an accidental invention / discovery that could have some pretty profound implications. Of course, there is so much more to learn about this before I'm ready to get a salt water car...

Fort Worth on Today

Richard J. Watters — Mon, 04/07/2008 - 7:20am

Fort Worth was featured on the Today Show on Saturday (04-05-08) as being a good vacation destination! And, for being one of only four of the cities mentioned, that's pretty impressive. Check it out.

Newest Citizen

Richard J. Watters — Sun, 02/03/2008 - 10:52pm

Newest Citizen (DSC02566.JPG)

It's official! We now have another US Citizen. Last Tuesday Yesenia took her oath of Citizenship to complete the last step in becoming a naturalized US Citizen. We spent the afternoon at the Arlington Convention Center. After the acknowledgment of the candidates, everyone took the Oath. Then, there was a greeting from the President and a great keynote speaker.

To celebrate, we had and earlier dinner at Bravo. I would highly recommend it then next time you are in the Arlington area.

Gordon Watters

admin — Sun, 02/03/2008 - 2:28am

Through the years

As many, if not all of you, have heard, Gordon passed away on January 8, 2008. Gordon enjoyed watching this website grow and mature, and was always interested in adding content to it. For that reason, this site is being dedicated to the loving memory of Gordon - father, grandfather, brother, soul mate, and friend.

A page has been created to share stories and photos. Visit it at www.thewattersfamily.com/gordon.

We will always miss him and the great impact he had on our lives!

Chasing the Stars

Wayne — Sat, 11/17/2007 - 7:14pm

I may give up trying to comprehend
Just exactly how and exactly when
My life has come to be
A magical expression of you and me.

For so long I sat and I pondered
Until the day that you entered.
Now every sunrise and every set
Emerges with only you to express.

Arms wrapped about the one I love,
We gaze upon the heavens above.
The light cast through countless beams,
Each one, a different dream.
Chasing the stars, together we plan
Reaching our dreams, we know we can.
We take them all one by one.
From romance to home to just plain fun.

You and me getting better still.

Veteran's Day

Wayne — Mon, 11/12/2007 - 8:41pm

Veteran's Day (img102[1].jpg)

Today I finally completed the porch project that was started several months ago. Peter and I agreed on a new tin roof for the patio so we went to Home Depot and selected the products. Then yesterday Clyde borrowed his neighbor's pick up and we went to pick up the sheets. Today, Clyde came over and helped me put the sheets up and seal it to make it rain proof. I am quite pleased with how it came out.

My special moon - Part 2

poemwriter — Sun, 11/11/2007 - 8:14pm

my moon

One night the moon said to me,
"If he makes you cry, why don't you leve him?"
I paused for a while, then I looked back at the moon and said,
"Moon... would you every leave your sky?"

I like this one because it shows that no matter if you the most darkest of dark days with that special someone... you can't leave them. Even if you try and try, you can't lose them...not now.
